What people are saying:

Jesse Habbick grew up in the haunted woods of New Hampshire. Did he see any ghosts? No, but they certainly troubled his imagination, as did hordes of other monsters and apparitions. Wanting to find a home for these creatures other than his head, Jesse turned to drawing, but, the more he drew, the more he thought up new monsters. When his creations seemed so bored on paper, Jesse wrote backstories to keep them company.

Jesse turned sixteen and moved to Utah, where the mountains’ snow covered peaks provided fresh surroundings for new inspiration. Because, really, who knows what’s up there?

When Jesse eventually realized there was more to life than monsters, he used his environment and interactions with friends and family as story fodder. Ten years of working with adults with disabilities also inspired his stories. The wonderful people Jesse worked with and learned from showed him what really matters in life, and what it means to be this strange thing called a human.

Jesse graduated from Full Sail University’s Creative Writing for Entertainment program in 2014 with a B.F.A. He garnered course director awards in World Creation and Children’s Entertainment. Jesse writes horror and fantasy. He is currently working on a series of children's picture books, one of which is his unique take on the Little Red Riding Hood tale. In addition to writing, he is founding a monster adoption program.
